This view of Tipton Reservoir was taken from midway up the shore looking to the south, with the breast of the dam barely visible as a dark, broken line to the left of center in the photo. The gap in the dark line is the spillway opening. Unlike the Bellwood Reservoir, both shorelines of Tipton drop off rather sharply, particularly the western shore (to the right in this photo).
