Us HORSE AND BUGGY DAYS The rolling years have brought many changes and the march of progress has developed many new businesses and destroyed a number of old ones. One notable case is that of the old time livery stable, that at one time played an important part in the towns affairs. The last livery stable was conducted by H. D. Cornmesser and was famous over a large area, having rendered service to traveling men from all parts of the country, making frequent trips to Blandburg and Coalport. The motor vehicles eventually ousted this thriving business but many old residents still refer to events that transpired around the Old Palace Livery. ****************************** |
