Bellwood Reservoir is located about 3 miles northwest of the borough, and like Tipton Reservoir to its northeast is nestled among the foothills of the Allegheny Front. It is fed by Bells Gap Run and it’s tributaries, Shaw Run, Lloydsville Run, Bear Loop Run, Green Spring Run and Tubb Run. The reservoir can be easily viewed by following Route 865 north out of Bellwood, appearing on the immediate left side of the road for some distance.
