Us Mid-January 2002 yielded this panorama from the eastern edge of the Allegheny Plateau known as the Allegheny Front. Looking East Southeast, the first series of mountains comprising the Ridge and Valley Region of central Pennsylvania are evident. Interstate 99 can be seen running along the base of Brush Mountain, just above the visible white buildings. The large ones just left of center are located in the Ardie J. Dillen Industrial Park, with part of the village of Tipton appearing at the extreme left. For a close-up detail image of the distant mountains, move your cursor over the photo until a red, outlined area appears, then click to view it. |
